Croydon Hearing Resource Centre is a unique local charity providing a range of services to people who are hard of hearing. In existence for over 37 years, it is the only voluntary organisation that provides free long-term practical and emotional support for NHS hearing aid wearers in Croydon.
We have successfully created a range of services and open surgeries around the Borough to support clients and this post is to help maintain and develop these services. Your own transport and clean driving licence are essential.
CHRC ideally wants to recruit a person with a background in healthcare, focusing on audiology or hearing based sensory service.
20 / 21 hour week. Flexible working but Mondays and Fridays are desirable. Salary range between £10k – 15k depending on experience.
You will be primarily required to work directly with clients based around the borough supporting hearing aid users by re-tubing, cleaning and maintaining their aids. In addition, this position will also include the screening (initial hearing test) of new potential hearing aid wearers. Training will be given if required.
