Equipment

Equipment to Assist the Deaf and those who are Hard of Hearing

The Borough of Croydon is very supportive of its residents with any type of hearing impairment. To obtain equipment, supplied free of charge, it is necessary to have an assessment to determine which equipment would be of help. There is a limited range of equipment available but should you require any other type you can link onto the Web sites of different suppliers to view a full range of equipment available for purchase.

How can you apply for an assessment?

Contact by phone or visit, Social Services, Croydon University Hospital Hearing Centre, Visiting Nurses, Age UK Croydon, or any other agency that provides you with assistance.

Alternatively, fill in the on-line form below, click the Send Application button at the bottom, and Croydon Hearing will complete the referral for you. You will then be contacted to arrange a suitable time and day for the assessment. Croydon Hearing undertakes the assessment on behalf of Social Services and will offer advice on a range of equipment suitable for your requirements.
